A Look at My Cute Little Work Space

A look at my office

A Work-iversary

This week marks my two-year work anniversary as the digital editor of Colorado Homes & Lifestyles nand Mountain Living magazines! Even before I went to the Denver Publishing Institute, I fantasized about working with this company. Three years after that, I finally made the team.

The time has flown, and working with this group of people has made a great job even more outstanding. Sometimes I get burnt out or I think I need a change, but then I cannot imagine a better job or work environment—unless it involves getting paid a decent salary to eat pizzza on the beach. I’ll still hold out for that one.

Anyway, I wanted to celebrate my sharing glimpses of my office with you!

Get More Bang for Your Buck

Hi, friends! I finally have some good photos of my living/working space and my bedroom in my Wash Park, Denver apartment!

I thought I’d share how I packed some serious style and utility into its tiny square footage—and on the cheap.

RUNNING FIRSTS + FESTIVE LIGHTS

This weekend was absolutely marvelous! I’m amping up my long runs with the help of the man, and we’re also making sure to squeeze as much festivity out of this month as we can muster! I love December. Christmas, the cozy cold, and I turn 30 soon!

A Kitchen Decor Wish List

Putting together my Wish List for my new apartment! | THE REAL LIFE BLOG | kitchen design, white dishes, copper flatware, Anthropologie, William-Sonoma, West Elm, Etsy

COPPER & WHITE

As my move-in date approaches, I’m getting way too excited about my very own living space! This will be the first apartment I’ve ever procured and lived in all by myself. Very adulty, indeed.

And with that comes massive dreaming (a la Pinterest). Here are my favorite (p)inspirations as of late… copper, white, wooden, minimal.

STAYCATION

This was the first weekend the man and I were both in the same town without any obligations whatsoever. Knowing this for a while, a few months ago we thought it might be fun to go on a trip during this time. But once the reprieve approached, we both realized we just wanted to not do anything fussy.

Enter: the Weekend Staycation.

APARTMENT DREAMING

You guys. I have an adorable apartment smack-dab in the heart of Denver’s West Washington Park!

The catch? I don’t move in for another 3 months.

So in the meantime, brace yourselves for all the home design posts, as I brainstorm on how to decorate the place

Life Update: I Found A Place to Live!

Washington Park, Denver, Colorado

A WASH PARK WONDERLAND

You guys. I have been trying to find a place in West Wash Park to call my own, and as of this week, I found the perfect spot!

Nestled just a couple blocks from all my favorite things (the man’s place, friends, all the food and coffee shops, and running in Wash Park!), this condo is a dream come true. I’m most excited about decorating it and making it mine.

Here are the BEFORE photos! (AFTER to come in September.)

Checking In: The Week After The Big Race

Checking in the Week After the Big Race: Colfax Half Marathon | THE REAL LIFE | running, fitness, nutrition, working out, eating right, intuitive eating, weight maintenance

KEEPIN’ RIGHT AT IT

It’s been a week and a half since my PR at the Colfax Half Marathon, and while other big races were followed by weeks [or months… or in some cases, years] of slacking off, I have no intentions of slowing down.

I took two days off after the half, but then I jumped straight back into running regularly. I am in love with it lately and am running for much better reasons these days.

I’ve also been indulging in delicious foods, doing fun things, apartmenting-hunting, and looking forward to a Memorial Day getaway!
